Ed Sheeran is one of the most successful musicians of this century, and after two years of non-stop touring, he decided to hang his mike once again and go on a long break. Ed did the same thing four years ago before he returned with his best album so far, “Divide.” Announcing that he is once again leaving, he told his fans that he would be back.

In his words, this era changed his life, but now he recognizes that it has come to close, and he needs to step away. Sheeran explained to his fans that they should see this as a new beginning since he is going to travel and find new ideas for his next album. British musician started his tour in March 2017, and he finished it in August 2019. This break is not a surprise for his fans as he announced during the summer that he would take a break for 18 months, so he can finally spend some time with his wife Cherry Seaborn and play Adult Games. That means that Ed plans to get back somewhere in spring 2021, probably announcing a new album and a tour. Ed had more incredible 258 shows in two and a half years, and he cashed in almost 100 million dollars during the last couple of years. While he doesn’t have to work a day for the rest of his life, there is no doubt that he will be back on the music scene. As his fans know, even during his breaks, he is writing songs for other artists, as he did before for Justin Bieber and his highly successful “Purpose” album.

Before going away from media, he spoke about his insecurities, revealing that he lost weight because of internet trolls that always called him fat. While he claimed that he was never insecure, he couldn’t stop thinking about his looks and decided to do something about it. Hoping that he could help someone, he explained that his problem was overeating, going to the pub every night, eat well and drink lots of beer. What helped me most was that he drastically reduced his drinking and finally started to exercise, although he admits that he doesn’t go to the gym. Instead, he prefers cycling and running to shed pounds, and it’s evident that it works well for him. As for the break, Sheeran will take some time to spend with his friends and family before traveling to all corners of the world while avoiding fans and the media, while enjoying Best Games he could find. That is the reason why he won’t post on social media. Fans will also remember that he was recently talking about his wish to become a dad, so there shouldn’t be a surprise if that happens during the break and gives his additional inspiration for his next album. There is almost no doubt that his 2021 comeback will be highly successful.
